Reusing...

When I sent in my first order this year, I received some FREE Valentine's rub-ons from Stampin' Up!
I am still 'hoarding' the rub-ons, but, I DID reuse the little note telling me about why I received them! HA!
*I wish I would have taken a picture of it before I used it up*

I cut out the ballon heart, popped it up with DIMENSIONALS, and put CRYSTAL EFFECTS on the red heart. The Happy Valentines Day was cut out and I rounded the corners with my PAPER SNIPS. I popped that onto a BASIC BLACK MODERN LABEL punchout, and popped that up onto the WHISPER WHITE cardstock that I ran threw my BIG SHOT with the POLKA DOT EMBOSSING FOLDER. I ran some BASIC BLACK 1/8" TAFFETA RIBBON around the white piece and attached it with some SNAIL ADHESIVE. I used the MINI TAG PUNCH and punched out 3 tags. I used TINY TAGS set to stamp and decorate the tags. Added a couple RHINESTONES and a PRETTY IN PINK mini heart, that was punched out of the 2-step OWL PUNCH. I put those onto a pewter colored mini safety pin from the VINTAGE TRINKETS and ran the pin behind the ribbons, then, I added a tiny little bow to the pin.
The inside was finished off with another piece of the rub-on note that I cute out and attached a few more little pink hearts.
I'm happy with it and will probably give it to my hubby...
Has anyone else used their little note for anything???

2-Step Owl Punch Class Projects

I recently had a class showing how to use the 2-Step Owl Punch. It was alot of work, but, I am so glad I did it. The ladies left with a great appreciation of that punch! I think, if they had just bought it without getting a feel for it, they would have let it set.

This first one was a CASE from :HERE:, with some of my own tweaking.
This one was a CASE from :HERE: and another link I can't find...if it's yours PLEASE let me know, so, I can credit you!
The Post-It Key Rink is from :HERE:
I can't remember where I saw this cute lil gift...once, again, let me know if it's yours...
Last, but, not least....a CASE from the IBC!!! LOVE that book!

If you would like to order a 2-Step Owl Punch for yourself, go to my WEBSITE and have it delivered directly to your door!
Two-Step Owl Punch 118074

Price: $16.95

Punches are a quick and easy way to add interest, dimension, and color to your cards, tags, and scrapbook pages. You can glue punched shapes directly onto your projects or layer a sheet of card stock that has been punched over a coordinating card stock for a reverse effect. In one quick move, our Two-Step Owl punch cuts out all of the pieces you need to build an owl. It couldn't be easier to create a great accent or focal point: just punch and then layer the pieces.

■ Includes an owl body, detailed eyes (not just one circle size but three so you can create dimension), and a small heart
■ New, sleeker body style
■ Larger surface area offers precise cutting and leverage
■ Locks to store
■ Can be stored in our Punch Caddy

Using what you have...

We are still in a DEEP FREEZE here in my part of Arizona...believe that or not! LOL At 7010', in the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest area, you never know what the weather will be like! But, I am L.O.V.I.N.G it! Still have LOTS of snow on the ground, so, it's still a beautiful scene outside. I am surprised alot of the town roads are still snow-packed but, when I try to shovel off the back patio, I see there is a layer of ice under the snow. I took this picture the other night as the sun was going down. LOVE the layers of color!

I have been busy getting things ready for an OWL PUNCH CLASS on 1/7, so, I haven't got anything 'new' to share. But, I thought I would go through my pictures to post something no one has seen yet.
There is a story behind this creation! HA!
This is a card I made for my hubby's birthday in October. I was with him at the trailer, in his work town. I had brought some things to keep myself occupied while he worked 10 hour days. I had limited supplies and tools, but, I used what I had! hehehe
This is an easel card, with MARINA MIST cardstock. The CLOSE TO COCOA *retired* background was scored with my Fiskar cutter/scorer. Random stash ribbon----kinda lots like a bullseye, doesn't it??
The fun thing is that I stamped the sentiment {AFTERTHOUGHTS--Hostess Level 1} and images *retired* onto a cookie box that I ripped apart! hehehe It was 'what I had'... I love the roughy texture of it, and I think it worked into the card well.
Hubby left me a note that morning telling me he thought it was a cool card! *smile*
Hope you are staying warm, wherever you are!

Punch Angel

Oh my goodness! I LOVE this little angel!!! I hope to tweak her more for lots of different 'looks'!
Do you think she needs more hair?
I found this little gal on YouTube.
The last day of the year, 2010, was our second bad BLIZZARD of the year! I had a bit of cabin-fever, so, I decided to go get my mail and pay one son's insurance and take the other son's LATE Red Box movie back.
I GOT STUCK in the CLOSED Insurance Office's driveway!!! My van seems to get kind of 'high-centered' and this is the second time it's happened to me.....hope it's the LAST! I called my son, to see if he was in town yet, and he had just driven past me, he said. He came back and helped some kind souls PUSH me forward enough to get out onto the street! As I finally headed home, the blizzard came back around. See that tiny PINK/RED sign on the right? That's where I was stuck! Nasty weather, eh? I love it, for a change, though...as long as I am at HOME in front of my woodstove! I think I learned a lesson! HA!

Thanks for your visit!
Don't forget to leave me a note!

And, we have a winner....

Have all of you participants of the BLOG CANDY/ORGANIZATIONAL TIP been wondering WHO WON!?!
I thought I was going to be able to stay up until midnight and then, do the drawing, and announce it....
But, this wimp was in BED by 10:00.... Then, awoke to the doorbell ringing at 5:45 a.m.!!! ACK----my heart was pounding, until I saw the door was locked, so, it meant #2 son was locked out in the -15° weather~ What a way to start the new year! So, I stoked the woodstove (it was 61° in the house) and fell asleep in the recliner...now, I'm trying to get going...should'a stayed awake!

Sooooo, FIRST, I want to thank all the participants of my first lil contest! You ALL contributed some wonderful organizational ideas!
THANK YOU -- THANK YOU -- THANK YOU!!
I hope to do something fun like this again soon!
